USE AND STRUCTURE OF THE PRESENT PERFECT.

The present perfect is one of the verb tenses of the present in English. Its correct use is necessary to express experiences or memories that occurred long ago, but which are still remembered or are important today. Thanks to this, its use is very common and it is important to know it perfectly.

The present perfect has three structures: affirmative, negative and interrogative, which are ordered in the way you can see below:

Affirmative form.
Subject + auxiliar verb (have/has) + past participle + complement.
For example: I have talked to the doctor.

Interrogative form.
Auxiliar verb (have/has) + subject + past participle + complement.
For example: Have you eaten in that restaurant?

Negative form.
Subject + auxiliar verb (have/has) + not + past participle + complement.
For example: You have not cleaned the house.
